GIMP on Mac OS X with integrated menubar
Noticed that Miguel posted a screenshot from the film Mitch posted earlier so I figured I make one in a better resolution where you get a better view.

Nice. I’d kind of expected the widgets to look more Aqua-like in a native gtk+ port though, it still just looks like a fugly X app :/
With a native theme they can be made to look more aqua like. The screenshot/movie shows Gimp running with the default GTK+ theme.
That’s outside of the actual port though and we will work on a native theme as well (or if someone else does :).
All kinds of awesome. This Will Be The Year Of The Linux Desktop (On Mac OS X).(TM)

Neat, the GIMP looks more professional. The menubar looks 100% native. A theme will be sweet, but using GTK apps with a native Mac menubar is a Good Thing. The GIMP is redesigning their UI (a much welcome change)…
But this port is better focused on useful hacks like this menubar. I’m saving for a Mac (probably MacBook Pro… or xMac if it ever happens), and will help in some way to the GTK-to-Aqua port (at least in bug testing).
Thanks for this useful menubar port!
I would like to see a GTK-WIMP type deal for this. There was another GTK project that does something like it.

Thanks for this valuable post. I love gimp.
