#photography moving to #photogeeks

So, looks like we are moving to #photogeeks which is a shame though the name works pretty well to define the people in it :)
I still need to sort through the 470 pictures I took when going to Mexico which was a truly great trip. I love Mexico and the nice people living there.

More on the trip when I’ve had time to sort through the photos.

Software patents!
So apparently, though I must admit that I’m having a hard time following all turns in this, EC decided to move a step closer to software patents… SUCK. Jeff blackened out http://www.gnome.org/ as a reaction to this.

Photo session

Decided to rig a lot of candels and bought some food to photograph today. Had quite a bit of fun while playing around with trying to get the lights right. My definite favorite among the picture I took is the one here, in this one I used a golden paper for reflector while pointing a flashlight at the paper. That way I managed to lighten up the image a bit without getting direct light on the composition.

The rest of the images can be seen here.

Gazpacho hacking
Been continuing on hacking Gazpacho today and have refactored property editor a bit to make it possible to create custom editors. For example to be able to chose file name or stock id for an GtkImage. Hopefully I can get a patch ready for Lorenzo tonight so that he has something fun to wake up to…

Gazpacho

Gazpacho has apprently made a lot of progress lately. It started out as a port of Glade 3 to Python and has since outgrown it’s parent. So we have ported our changes made for Glade 3 to Gazpacho and are now focusing (at least for another week) on making Gazpacho kick ass together with main developer Lorenzo Gil Sanchez who is a great guy!

I hope we can get JRB to develop a tree view editor for the project, since he joined #gazpacho@gimpnet yesterday the chances are looking good, right jrb?

Family dinner
Went into the city yesterday to have dinner with my mom and sister. Went to a greek restaurant and as usual the Sovlaki and Tsatziki tasted great. Also bought a mask for diving when going to Mexico next week.
